Foreigner is the seventh studio album released by English singer-songwriter, Cat Stevens in July 1973. In addition to the minor hit "The Hurt", which received a moderate amount of airplay, Foreigner also included such songs as "100 I Dream" and the 18-minute-long "Foreigner Suite", which took up the entirety of side one. It is the first album written and produced solely by Stevens.
Nat glanced up and smiled as the tubby tuxedo cat approached. She held out a hand, and Fluff arched his back under it, running his sleek spine under her palm before turning and butting his head into her extended fingers. She took this invitation to scratch his cheek, fingers tickling at the white hairs of his chin, and he replied with a low booming purr. He went stiff, as if startled, his ears pinning back to his head, eyes going wide, pupils spreading to engulf his eyes. He froze, staring at the hound, and let loose a low growl. Nat had never heard him make a sound like that, not when a wayward alley cat would come up to the window, not even when Liz's family would come to stay in the guest room and bring their little terrier for the visit. Fluff's growl was like something from a larger beast, like a tiger distilled down into a tiny piebald form.

Next day when the Cat saw that no other Wild Thing went to the Cave, he walked there by himself; and he saw the Woman and the Cow, and he saw the light of the fire in the Cave, and he smelt the smell of the warm white milk. The Cat said, "O my Enemy and Wife of my Enemy, what is Wild Cow doing here?" The Woman laughed and said, "Wild Thing out of the Wild Woods, go back to the Woods again. We don't want any more friends or servants in our Cave.
Between being Steven Demetre Georgiou and Yusuf Islam, he was Cat Stevens. And the British singer-songwriter made the most of his short time under that name, recording a series of increasingly mature records from the late '60s through the mid '70s. He started out as a songwriter for hire whose own records were adorned with super-busy arrangements enforced by record-company execs. Stevens' only No. 1 album, 1972's Catch Bull at Four, didn't yield a hit single like his previous two LPs. But it remains one of his most popular works, an album rich in musical arrangements and spiritual enlightenment. Its best song, "Can't Keep It In," is one of Stevens' most playful songs, an acoustic guitar-guided pop symphony featuring one of his all-time best vocal performances.
Cat Stevens was born in London, England on July 21, 1948. His parents ran a restaurant where he learned to play the piano as a child. At age 18, he signed with Decca Records and released his first album. The 1970 single "Wild World" made him a star in the. Early Life. A year after that, at the age of 18, producer Mike Hurst lured the singer over to Decca Records. Stevens soon released his first album, Matthew and Son, which featured the hits "I Love My Dog," "Here Comes My Baby," and the title track, which charted at No. 2 and further helped to boost his career. Although Stevens was beginning to experience some success as a pop star, he longed to release some of his more seasoned tracks.
