BACKGROUND Starting on the periphery of the dream pop scene in early 90's Los Angeles, The Sugarplastic had their first breakthrough during a signing binge at DGC (Geffen) Records. Bang, The Earth is Round was released to critical praise in 1996 and despite constant fluctuations in the music business, The Sugarplastic maintain a solid and rabid fan base to this day, and continue to play out and record. 7X7X7" was originally released on vinyl only. From 2003 through 2004, seven 7" records were released in very limited quantities

The Sugarplastic are an infectiously catchy pop band. The Sugarplastic exemplify a Scottish pop sensibility. But remarkably, while you might find yourself bopping around with a huge smile on your face to one of their tunes, you will also notice that these boys manage to convey some pretty dark (or at least serious) ideas.
Invented by Panagiotis Verdes, the Rubik's Cube 7x7x7 (or V-Cube 7) is yet another larger version of the original Rubik's Cube. The Rubik's Cube 7x7x7 is yet another larger version of the original Rubik's Cube. It is often referred to as the "V-Cube 7" becuase V-Cube were the first to mass produce this puzzle. The mechanism was invented by Panagiotis Verdes (who also invented the V-Cube 6x6x6) and it was patented in 2004. Manufacturers of this puzzle usually tend to make it a bit "pillowed" or rounded, originally probably due to the complexity of the mechanism but today as a cosmetic feature

For their fourth album, the band chose to release an A-side/B-side single every three months for a two-year period, culminating in "7x7x7", a full-length collection containing all seven singles. Their fifth and latest album, "Will", was released in 2005. The title is dedicated to William Glenn, a former engineer and friend of the band who died four years prior.
